Hi,

We have received your deposit and your spot is now confirmed. You will receive your Welcome Package soon! Here is a list of items to help you prepare:

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

– Please email me A COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT in order to obtain your mountain permit

– Please email all flight/travel details as soon as you have them. These are essential for us to know if you need extra nights at the hotel and to prepare a final itinerary for pick up/drop off. If you know you will need extra nights at the hotel, please let us know as soon as possible. We can make a reservation for you and add it to your final invoice. Useful links for international flights can be found at: google.com/flights Kayak.com or Vayama.com

– The hotel we generally use is the Summit Safari Lodge in Arusha. Additional nights above those included in your package are USD $85 per night for double occupancy.

– There are no immunizations currently required to enter Tanzania. You may get vaccinated if you choose, but they will not ask for proof of vaccination.

– We strongly recommend travel insurance. Our US/Canada clients have found Travel Guard as a great policy for high-altitude adventure travel.

– A Tanzanian travel visa is required, which can be obtained in advance or upon arrival. Clients continually face technical issues on the official website when applying in advance. Therefore, we recommend obtaining the visa upon arrival. For in-person applications, bring your passport and cash; the cost is $100 for US passports ($50 for others). If you prefer applying in advance, visit www.immigration.go.tz. When applying online, select either a single entry or multiple-entry visa. Here are the required details for the visa application:

WHAT WE WILL DO:

– We will process your remaining balance approximately 60 days prior to your arrival after we send you an invoice to let you review and make any changes or to switch your billing credit card.

– You will receive a final itinerary with accommodation specifics and contact details as soon as we finalize all bookings, usually around 30 days in advance.
